  1. I could tell you three basic things you should look for in a home business.

    1. First of all, is it legit. There are lots of scams out there. Don’t fall for any company that makes claims that you will be making thousands in a few months. The truth is that there is no way that anyone could know that. Only your hard work and dillagence will help you succeed.

    2. Second, you need to go with a company that has a proven track record. They should have been in business at least 10 years.

    3. Finally, with any home business, there must be a good training system. Often times, people sign up with a company only to find that there is no one to train them how to do the business.

If you are looking for a home business opportunity, you should start with the following website.

There you will get plenty of information on how to evaluate a good home business.

    good luck

  2. There are so many different kinds of successful home businesses that you really can’t quantify an absolute set of attributes.

Real estate brokers work from home.
People who Knit work from home.
People who offering Consulting Services across the country work from home.
Freelancers offering Services work from home.
    Promoters, PR Specialists, Insurance Agents

It’s possible to make just about any small business a from-home business. It all depends on what kind of life you envision as being the most fun.

The only advice I would say is LOVE IT, and make sure that you give yourself structure. When you work from home no one’s looking over your shoulder. Big tendency to slack off. People often don’t realize the benefits of having structure in place at an on-site job.

Enjoy the freedom - but provide SOME structure for yourself.

    Have fun!

  3. I don’t think there is an easy answer to that.

First, it would depend on how much money you want/need to make (assuming that is important). If you are only looking to make a tiny bit of money (20 bucks a week), you can do lots of things. If you need to make $300 profit a week to pay your household bills, etc., there are some home businesses that simply won’t work.

Second, what are your interests and talents? I mean, it’s pointless to suggest a home business that requires you to have an artistic skill if you have none, or specialized training if you have none, etc. It’s also not necessarily good to suggest a business that you could do, but would **** doing (phone *** operator, *** webcam site).

Third, how much time do you have to devote to the business, and how much of your time will the business take up? Some women are stay-at-home moms who have kids to take care of. If your business is very hands on, you may not have the time to run the business in between the times you are taking care of the kids.

Fourth, how much money do you have to invest in the business? Most businesses have start-up costs, and most have ongoing costs as well. For instance, if you were going to have a website where you marketed retail items for purchase, there is the cost in getting the website set up as well as the monthly cost for the website itself, and possibly advertising costs if affiliate web sites send customers your way by linking your site on theirs. You need to be able to know what your costs are going to be before you make your first dime of profit.

The other thing I can’t emphasize enough is do research, research, research! There are all sorts of people out there who will tell you that you can use their system to run a profitable home business, when the truth is the only one making a profit are those people who lure you in!!! Businesses like Mary Kay, Tupperware, Amway and the like prey on people by selling them a false dream of success, and many people have gone bankrupt buying their pack of lies. Anyone who is trying to sell you something should be looked at very carefully, as promises of the amounts of money to be made are usually lies, or only one person in a thousand makes that much (usually by lying) while the other 999 people make less than minimum wage or actually lose money.

    In summation:

Find a product or service that people want or need, and are willing to pay you for…and will buy enough of to meet your income goals.

Do something that you have an interest and talent in, and enjoy doing.

Know how much it will cost to run your business if you aren’t making any sales, and what impact not making sales (or enough sales) will have on your life.

Don’t believe everything (or anything) people try to tell you if they are trying to sell you their business model or product, or get you to sell for them. Some people will tell you anything so they can make a buck off you.

  4. Look at a home business that has the products that sell itself. With technology now adays, telecommunication is the next wealth trend. People use cellular phones everyday, every household have internet, everyone needs home security and people are looking to save money on all these. You should look into this industry.

  5. The main thing you should look for is what interest you. If you’re not interested in what you’re doing you’ll never make any money. I have my own home base business making all natural soy candles. I love candles so it’s something i love doing. I love creating different styles of candles and the different fragrances smell so good. Visit my websites for more information.
I wholesale, retail and do fundraisers. On top of making money selling my candles I also get residual income from CandleWealth. Take a look and see if it interest you.

  6. Here’s a few things you should look into.

    1. How long have they been in business?
    2. Do they have a proven track record?
    3. Do they have a physical address that you can go to?
    4. Do they have a training system?
    5. Have they been in several magazines Such as Success,
Fortune, USA Today. Has Inc 500 rated them?
    6. Are they registered with the BBB?
    7. Meet the co-founders.
    8. Who’s involved in the business and do they use the products. Example Donald Trump has endorsed a business and he uses their products.
    9. What’s the compensation plan
    10. What does the start up cost take care of? It should take care of your licesning, accounts payables, accounts receivables, Inventory, billings, customer service, rep services, workman’s comp, employees etc etc.

Are you looking for a home based business?? If you are, then I know someone that you should contact. Her name is Tiffany she’s had her own home based business in the telecommunications industry for many years and makes an incredible amount of income. Her business markets in land lines, Internet, Video phones, VOIP, Digital, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone providers as well. You can make a percentage of everyone’s bills every single month. If you’d like more information on this industry contact her at The income opportunity in this business is incredible.

  7. Are you serious about starting a home business? then go here

  8. I’ll make it easier on your eyes and make my answer short and sweet for you.

    1) There are a lot of different industries. Beauty, home decor, personal development, travel, ebooks, to name a few. Think of one you think you would enjoy doing the most.

    2) Get rich quick scams and pyramid schemes are actually illegal nowadays, so running into one will be rare. A lot of people cry “scam” on almost every business because that person just didn’t do the right thing or follow the system and not have the right mindset. If all you think is “I don’t think I’ll make it” you will defeat yourself. Instead say “I’m going to make it big, I trust my ability”. Your mind is your biggest friend and most feared enemy. Also people call “scam” on one home business while promoting the one their in, like it’s somehow better.

    3) You enjoy home parties, do Tupperware or Pampered Chef. Beauty products? Avon. Industry specific. Remeber that each company has different methods of marketing and how their compensation plan works, which brings me to the real reason why you want a home business….

    4) Compensation Plan: Some business like Multi-level-Marketing only give you a percentage of your sale (ie 50% profit, most times less around 30%). If you want to get paid based on your efforts and get paid in full, go for a direct sales approach to a home business, that way nobody above you gets a cut of your profit.

    5) Time. Time is the most important factor, in my opinion. To be able to run your business from anywhere is a bonus. I, for one, didn’t want to spend my time doing house parties or door to door or convincing my family and neighbor that this fruit juice cures cancer. I wanted to run my business anytime, anywhere with a computer and cell phone. That’s the real reason I dived into a home business: Freedom.

Hope this was “short and sweet” (lol) for ya and a little easier on the eyes.
